“We all eat, and it would be a sad waste of opportunity to eat badly.”
— Anna Thomas
Ever visit or relocate to a new city eager to dive headfirst into the local cuisine only to be flummoxed with the sheer multitude of restaurants to navigate?
Or get overwhelmed trying to keep up with its explosive restaurant scene (220 new Denver eateries in 2016 alone)?
Or get stumped on where to go for special occasions, happy hour, or the best versions of your fave foods?
Yeah, us too. The struggle is real.
Which is why we created Food Parooze: To answer the burning question, “Whadaya, wheredaya wanna eat?” with the finest selection of food to ever flirt with your lips. This kind of vital communication is why we humans need one another: so we know what to nosh on next. Priorities, people! In the immortal words of M.F.K. Fisher, “First we eat, then we do everything else.”
Food Parooze saves you time and money, eliminates overwhelm, and helps you dine with confidence by:

Your trust is our main concern. Therefore, we limit options in certain categories, rather than offer you unexceptional choices.

Passion Led Us Here
Food Parooze is the culinary lovechild of two Denver transplants. We’ve done the work—discovery, organization, communication—so you can do what makes you happiest: Feast On Your Life.
The cred of Food Parooze’s restaurant reviewer and food editor, Cindy O’Krepki, comes from her range of experience as a personal chef and yacht caterer for bon vivants in southern Florida to pastry chef and culinary director for Mainline mansion gourmands in Philadelphia. But most of all, from the rapturous joy she experiences while writing with her mouth full.
How the “Best” was won: In some cases, restaurants pay for page location but never ever for inclusion on foodparooze.com. Each restaurant was chosen solely on the merit of their offerings for the benefit of discerning eaters.
